Composition

Character & Impression

Outlands begins with a bright, sparkling top: citrusy lemon and bergamot cut through spicy cardamom, Sichuan pepper and a whisper of elemi and frankincense. It feels energetic, almost electric  like stepping into dawn after a long night.

In the heart, the fragrance becomes dense and evocative: patchouli provides richness and earth, while spices like cumin, saffron, anise and coriander, plus florals (rose, orange blossom, geranium), give it warmth, character, and depth. There’s a contrast between fresh florals and darker, resinous undertones that keeps it from being one-dimensional. 

The base is where Outlands really lingers: a luxurious tapestry of amber, resins (labdanum, benzoin, opoponax), vanilla sweetness tempered by woody and smoky notes (birch, oud), underscored by ambergris and musk. It is comforting yet powerful, like returning from exploration with a renewed sense of self.  

Performance & Wearability

• Longevity: Strong! many users report it lasting 9-12+ hours on skin, with even longer stay on clothes.  
• Projection / Sillage: Very noticeable in the opening stages; the brightness and spice cut through. As it evolves, it settles into a rich amber-woody trail that still gets attention.
